WRC 9, the latest entry into the generally well-liked racing franchise and official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, will be coming to the PS5 when the console launches on November 19 (or November 12 in the United States and Japan).
The next-gen version of the game, which launched earlier this year to generally favourable reviews on current-gen consoles and PC, will have a host of improvements over the original game.
According to a press release, the PS5 version of WRC 9 will be playable at a 4k resolution and 60FPS. It will also make use of the new haptic features of the PS5’s improved DualSense controller, and it will be more difficult to press the buttons required to accelerate your car in difficult driving conditions because of this.
Most importantly, if you own the game on the PlayStation 4, you will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 edition for free. The PlayStation 5 version of the game will also include the October update for the game, which includes a photo mode and some new tracks to race on.
The game will launch on the Xbox Series X/S, as well as the Nintendo Switch, at some point in the future. When there’s a more definitive release date available for those platforms, or if there’s any more news available about the game, you can be sure to read about it here on Jump Dash Roll!
