West of Dead is launching this week — June 18th to be exact. The date was confirmed in a new trailer released during The Guerilla Collective Day One Presentation on Friday.
A stylish, isometric, twin-stick shooter, West of Dead is set in Purgatory, Wyoming in 1888. Players will step into the boots of William Mason, an undead bounty hunter with a flaming skull for a head, voiced by Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) — now that’s a sentence.
The supernatural shooter follows Mason as he wakes up from the dead and descends into the “grim and gritty world of Purgatory”.
Whilst there, it looks like our hero (anti-hero?) will be up against some pretty gnarly foes too on his way to finding some answers.
Published by Raw Fury and developed in the UK by ex-Lionhead staff at Upstream Arcade, West of Dead releases on Xbox One (available on Xbox Game Pass) and PC via Steam, GOG and Humble Bundle on June 18th. The game will subsequently release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch on August 5th.
