Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Remasters the First Three Games, Releases October 5th
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will bring remastered versions of the first three Super Monkey Ball games to Nintendo Switch (as well as Xbox, PlayStation and PC) on October 5th. SEGA announced the news ahead of the series’ 20th Anniversary on June 23rd.
For those unfamiliar with the niche franchise, Super Monkey Ball essentially involves players guiding monkeys in balls — kind of like giant gacha pods — around a series of mazes and involving them in plenty of minigames like football, bowling and even golf.
Banana Mania will recreate 300 levels from across the first three Super Monkey Ball games, including the multiplayer games. Unfortunately, per The Verge, those games won’t be playable online, with four-player local co-op your only option. There are online leaderboards and a time attack mode though.
