Next Gen Xbox Release Date Confirmed; Will Be Available to Buy With Subscription

Following Tuesday’s price reveal for the Xbox Series S, Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox Series X will be priced at £429/$499 and that both consoles will launch on November 10th this year.

Both consoles, which will sport Xbox’s most impressive hardware to date, will also be available to pre-order starting September 22nd.

For players in 12 countries, however, both versions of the platform will be available to purchase with an Xbox All Access Subscription for £20/$25 per month for the Xbox Series S and £28/$35 per month for the Xbox Series X, according to the Xbox website. 

In order to take advantage of the promotion, players will have to go to one of the program’s participating retailers to get their console. Their subscription will then be processed through an external bank, who according to the Xbox All Access webpage, will not charge any sort of late or annual fee. 

In addition to getting a console, subscribers of Xbox All Access will also be able to play over 100 games included in the subscription, 100 games that can be streamed to mobile devices, about 100 games that can be played on PC and more than 60 games that are now included with a free subscription to EA Play. 

Yesterday’s statement also included the official specifications of the Xbox Series S. According to Xbox’s website, the console has an impressive set of specifications including the ability to play games at 1440p at 60 frames per second and a 512GB SSD drive.
