Xbox surprised everyone during The Game Awards 2019 this week, with the announcement and first look at Xbox Series X.
Replacing the codename of ‘Scarlett’, this is the first public outing of the name for the latest generation of Microsoft’s console. What’s more, it looks like we got a look at the new box itself in the trailer that you can see above.
Kicking off an evening of announcements at The Game Awards, few could have anticipated Microsoft firing the first shot of a dawning console war this early. Many had previously predicted an early 2020 announcement, with a Holiday 2020 release. The second part of that is right, at the very least.
Xbox Series X will release in holiday 2020 and we already have a, gorgeous-looking, a launch title for it too, courtesy of another surprise announcement.
