May's PlayStation Plus Games Revealed — Battlefield V, Wreckfest & Stranded Deep
Battlefield V, Stranded Deep and Wreckfest have been confirmed as the three games coming to PlayStation Plus in May. Announced by PlayStation on Wednesday, the new additions will be available to download for free from May 4th for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners.
Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last | PS5
A spiritual successor to the FlatOut series, Wreckfest is an all-action racing game with as much a focus on smashing into your opponents as winning races in either single-player or 24-player online multiplayer. Originally released in 2019 for PlayStation 4, this upgraded version of the game boasts improved frame rates and 4K textures.
Oddly enough, the game wasn’t due to launch until June 1st (per Eurogamer). Could this mean a one-month exclusive window for PlayStation players?
Stranded Deep | PS4 / PS5
An open world survival game set in the aftermath of a mysterious plane crash, it’s safe to say that the odds are against you in Stranded Deep. Hunger, thirst and the elements are your enemy, as well as any other creatures you may cross paths with. Explore the Pacific islands and discover what you need to do to survive.
Battlefield V | PS4 / PS5
Battlefield heads back to the trenches of World War II in the most recent release from developer EA DICE. War Stories — playable vignettes showcasing different aspects of the conflict as it unfolds — make up the game’s single-player offering, whilst a vast multiplayer suite awaits for gamers who prefer PVP.
With a new Battlefield game in development, this is the perfect opportunity for new players to experience the franchise and for lapsed plates to rejoin the fight.
The above games will be available on PlayStation Plus until May 31st.
Oddworld: Soulstorm, Days Gone and Zombie Army 4 make up the selection of PlayStation Plus games for April, and will be available to download until Monday May 3rd — don’t miss out!
