Jackbox Party Pack 8 Has a New Trailer
October is nearly upon us, which means that a new Jackbox Party Pack is almost certainly getting the final touches applied before its annual autumn launch. If you're new to the series, Jackbox Games bundle together five different party games which pit you and your friends against each other in a battle of wits, humour and occasional stupidity. They are basically an institution now, and it's always fun to see what twists the creators can make on the bedrock of group play as well as their own back catalogue.
This year is no exception. There are wordplay shenanigans in the form of Job Job, an animated update to Drawful (easily the best game in the original Party Pack), trivia and nonsense in The Wheel of Enormous Proportions, social deduction doodling with Weapons Drawn, and the very first team head-to-head game in the series' history in Poll Mine.
As ever, all games are played on smartphones and three of the games can support a huge 10 players (the other two can host up to 8) so they'll be ideal for Friday night house parties.
There isn't a confirmed release date yet, but given the last six games were released in mid-October, it'll be surprising if the publisher strays too far from that date for Party Pack 8. Check back for the definitive JDR review soon!
