Horizon Forbidden West is getting the LEGO treatment this May. Announced on Tuesday by PlayStation and the LEGO Group, a brand new LEGO set will allow fans to build the series’ iconic Tallneck — a large machine that serves as a way for players to reveal more about their surroundings in the game.
You can watch a very brief trailer for the set below. The set is also available to view in more detail on the LEGO website.
Aimed at adult collectors, The Horizon Forbidden West Tallneck is an 18+ priced at £69.99 and will comprise 1222 pieces. Per the description, the set will have players using “clever building techniques” in order to bring this brick-built machine to life in LEGO form. Alongside the Tallneck itself, the set also features a stand that serves as a small diorama as well as an additional brick-built Watcher figure and a special Minifigure of Horizon’s lead protagonist Aloy.
This is not the first time that LEGO has partnered with a gaming brand, with a bevy of Super Mario Bros. sets currently available alongside Overwatch and Minecraft-themed builds. However, it is the first time that LEGO has partnered with PlayStation and I for one hope we see something akin to the Nintendo Entertainment System set plus more from PlayStation Studios’ top franchises in the future.
Horizon Forbidden West launches on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 18th. The Horizon Forbidden West Tallneck LEGO set launches on May 1st.
