Are you a beat 'em up fan? Do you crave your Hadoken and spinning bird kicks? If so, I can't directly help you. There is no new Street Fighter, nor Mortal Kombat coming imminently. Neither exists on the new generation of consoles having been designed for them.
What I can offer is a 2.5D one-on-one fighting game with a lineage dating back to 1998 and a developer back catalogue comprising multiple titles including Double Dragon and Battletoads. Yes, it's Arc System Works' Guilty Gear -Strive- which releases April 9th 2021 on PS4, PS5 and Windows PC. This, is exciting for those itching to git gud at what is perhaps the ultimate gaming skill challenge - fighting games.
It just so happens that you can get an early look at the game, too. There is an open beta from February 19th until the 21st and you can register for access here. Enjoy the fighting folks, if you're lucky enough to get one of the limited codes...
