Gran Turismo 7 was one of the true graphical showcases of the PlayStation 5 reveal. In a short gameplay trailer debuted on Thursday during Sony’s live event to announce the new console, we got a glimpse into the future of racing games.
Introduced by series creator, and President of Polyphony Digital, Kazunori Yamauchi, the game is undoubtedly a visual marvel. Vehicles and environments looked hyper-realistic and were complimented by incredible lighting, showing off the PlayStation 5’s ray tracing capabilities.
Traditionally the Gran Turismo series has been positioned as a system seller for PlayStation and that looks to be the case here. However, as with a lot of first-party games shown during this presentation, no date or release window has been announced.
