Godfall is receiving a surprise port to the PlayStation 4. Announced during Gearbox’s E3 presentation on Saturday, the once PS5 console exclusive (the game is also available on PC) developed by Counterplay Games will be available on August 10th alongside a new Fire and Darkness expansion.
Fire and Darkness is the first paid expansion for Godfall, taking players to the Fire Realm. It will be joined by a new, free, update named Lightbringer which adds some new endgame incentives for players with 40 new pieces of loot and 50 additional cosmetic items.
The first ever announced PS5 game, Godfall now being made available on PlayStation 4 poses the question of why wasn’t it released on the console in the first place?
