Halo: Infinite is a Project Scarlett launch title. Announced by Phil Spencer during the Xbox press conference at E3 2019 on Sunday, the game will launch alongside the next generation Xbox in "Holiday 2020".

Coupled with the announcement was a brand new trailer (which you can watch below), which gives us a brief glimpse at the game’s story. The cinematic trailer shows a stranded UNSC soldier bringing Master Chief in out of the cold of space and powering him up before, inevitably, it’s time for Chief to save the day again.

Whilst the trailer doesn’t give us much, getting to see the Xbox mascot leading the charge to the next generation was exciting. The lack of gameplay was disappointing, but at least we now have our first confirmed next-gen title. Will more follow as E3 2019 progresses? We shall see!
