Dying Light 2 will release in summer 2020, as announced during the Square Enix press conference at E3 2019.
The Techland-developed, zombie-infested, parkour-heavy action game looks to have expanded on the groundwork laid by the original game. The extended gameplay trailer builds on what was showcased during Microsoft’s presentation on Monday, giving us an idea of what we can expect from the moment-to-moment action.
The world looks incredibly detailed and is gorgeous in motion — the way the protagonist and the enemies move through the environment is a sight for sore eyes.
Dying Light 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed 2015 original. The first game was praised for its traversal and visceral approach to combat. With zombies more powerful in the dark, it’s down to you to know when to strike. On top of that, with factions ruling the living you need to know who you side with — something that we expect to be explored even more in the new game.
Dying Light 2 is set to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in Summer 2020.
