E3 2019: DOOM: Eternal Releases November 22nd, Gets New Gameplay Trailer
DOOM: Eternal had a huge presence at Bethesda’s E3 2019 showcase on Sunday. The sequel to 2016’s critically acclaimed reboot of DOOM, it will release on November 22nd and looks as ridiculous and fun as its predecessor, but even more over the top.
The Doomslayer will visit new locations — heaven, hell and everywhere in between — fighting the demon scourge with a huge arsenal of weapons at his disposal. Based on what we saw (which you can watch below) this is very much more of DOOM but, seriously, that’s all this needs to be.
Expansion looks to come in the form of more traversal and exploration, but the action looks just as fast-paced and intense as you’d expect. This also plays into the multiplayer with Battlemode being announced, a 2-v-1 multiplayer mode where two demons will fight one Doomslayer. Each player will have everything at their disposal and it’s presented almost like a fighting game. Could be very interesting.
As with a lot of Bethesda games, we’ll probably find out more at QuakeCon. Check back on Jump Dash Roll for more news as we get it!
