Dirt 5’s launch has been delayed from its original October release date to November 6 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

“The revised launch date will allow us to take advantage of the next generation console launches which are expected in time for the holiday season,” said Frank Sagnier, Chief Executive Officer at Codemasters, in a press release.

Players who purchase the Amplified Edition of the game will be able to play the game on November 3. All players who own the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will also be able to upgrade their games for free to versions of the game on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X later this year, according to a press release.

Dirt 5, which will be the first game in the franchise to allow players to build their own arenas, will also be released on Google Stadia in early 2021. The game will also feature a story mode starring Troy Baker and Nolan North, according to a trailer that was released a few months ago.

Codemasters said that they will be revealing more gameplay and information, including a final list of cars and details about the next-gen versions, in the coming weeks before release.

Somebody once told me the world was going to roll me, and they were right. I love games that let me take good-looking screenshots and ones that make me depressed, so long as the game doesn't overstay its welcome.
