The most recent Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed: Origins, was always due to have two pieces of substantial downloadable content. The first such piece arrives this January, reports Eurogamer, three months after the game's release.

For folks who have completed the main game this DLC, entitled The Hidden Ones, will offer a level cap increase, a new region and a new narrative to sit alongside that which they've already experienced. Alongside this paid-for DLC there are some free things coming our way too - a new quest, some cosmetic items and the return of the Trials of the Gods.

You should hopefully be able to enjoy this by the month's end on PC, Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4.

I've been gaming for 35+ years on the Commodore VIC-20 to the PlayStation 5 and pretty much everything in-between. I enjoy all kinds of games but if I had to pick a couple in particular, I'd say I adore Mario and love Dark Souls. I can talk about either an awful lot should you want to!
